What are jazz pants usually made of?

Hello guys! I’m writing an article about jazz pants and I have made up key questions to answer for me to be able to develop a good article. I couldn’t find substantial information in the Internet about jazz pants so I am trying my luck here in garnering info about these stuff. Any help would be very much welcome and the one who gives most information will of course, get 5 points. 
What are jazz pants usually made of and how is it different from other dance pants around the market? And why is it most preferred by dancers?
